This is a  race at a GSLWC NPR meet held at the St. Louis K.C. show in the early 70's, maybe late 60's, not sure.  Track is a cinder athletic track for Washington Univ., hence the stands & all.  Straw helped shield the dogs feet.  Don't recognize any of the dogs.  track is 150 yds. long.  One of the two, that I know of, NPR tracks that ever ran 150 yd meets.  That was allowed then.  Notice the old all leather muzzles.  I still have mine. They still do the job, but they are a lot hotter and the dogs don't get as much air.   (Gregg Gammie)
